Alors que de nombreux festivals d'art et festivals traditionnels ont été annulés ou reportés en raison de l'influence du covid-19, le festival d'art du sens primitif a pour thème cette année : " Instant Fugace de l'Eau ". C'est une tentative pour voir de quels festivals nous avons besoin dans la situation actuelle.
Nobuyuki Sugihara, directeur artistique du festival : "Lorsque les gens font face à la nature, le sens du sentiment primitif redevient présent. Je pense que les beaux-arts sont nés à ce moment-là. La "nature" n'est pas seulement à l'extérieur de nous, elle contient la vie qui est en nous, héritée des origines de la vie. La vraie richesse est qu'il y a de la beauté dans le vivant hérité de la période Jomon.
