Claude Ciccolella, né à Paris/France, étudie la physique, l'océanologie, l'automatique et l'informatique aux Universités de Marseille jusqu'au doctorat de biologie marine et d'automatisation des stations d'aquaculture.

Après avoir travaillé à Paris sur un réseau informatique pour une entreprise pharmaceutique, il se tourne vers la sculpture, le monochrome et en 1998 la vidéo.

Fin des années 1990, il propose une esquisse de thèse sur le monochrome à la Sorbonne/Paris. Le doyen ne sut pas dans quel domaine spécifique, philosophie, histoire de l'art ou art plastique, sa thèse aurait pu être supervisée.

En 2000 il co-crée Images contre nature, festival international de vidéo expérimentale à Marseille. Il en sera curateur et programmateur. Ce festival, aux programmes issus de l'analyse de l'image en mouvement -animé -espace -identité -long -mouvement -perception -sens -temps, dura 18 ans.

Entre 1999 et 2024 il crée trente six vidéos, courts et longs métrages, diffusées dans des festivals, musées, TV et expositions, récompensées par de nombreux prix. Certaines de ces vidéos ont été réalisées avec des metteurs en scène de théâtre, des comédiens, des musiciens, des plasticiens.

A partir de 2010, il participe à la création du théâtre des Chartreux à Marseille. Il en deviendra régisseur son et lumière pendant 7 ans.

En 2018 son installation Quadriptyque 12.08.02, sur l'entropie, l'antimatière et la théorie des cordes est diffusée à l'Ecole supérieure d'art d'Aix-en-Provence/France.

A partir de 2019 il devient professeur de physique-chimie et de mathématique de collège et lycée.

En 2023 son installation Quadriptyque 06.02.04, sur le traumatisme de catastrophe naturelle est diffusée à l’Ecole supérieure d’art d’Aix-en-Provence/France.

Thème de son travail : disparition, couleur, matière, entropie, antimatière, théorie des cordes, improvisation, existentialisme ...

From 2010, he participated in the creation of the Chartreux theater in Marseille. He will become light and sound manager for 7 years.

In 2018, his installation Quadriptych 12.08.02, on entropy, antimatter and string theory was screened at the Higher School of art of Aix-en-Provence/France.

From 2019, he became a physics-chemistry and mathematics teacher of college and high school.

In 2023, his installation Quadriptych 06.02.04, on trauma of natural disaster was screened at the Higher School of Art of Aix-en-Provence/France.

Theme of his work: disappearance, color, matter, entropy, antimatter, string theory, improvisation, existentialism; an adventure of audio-visual creation.
